Common questions

Should the venue be named in the organizer’s waiver?

Usually yes — venues commonly require being named as a released party (and often as additional insured on your policy). This template includes a released-parties list covering organizer, venue, and sponsors.

Is a media release really necessary?

If you photograph or film your event for promotion, yes. Using an attendee’s likeness commercially without consent creates right-of-publicity exposure in many states.
